Hi, I'm Baruch Pi

— Senior product designer at Scribd

Based in Brooklyn, NYC. I shape intelligent surfaces that feel responsive, fluid, and like second nature.

I translate complex systems into intuitive, cohesive interfaces. Blending technical fluency with visual precision, I design end-to-end solutions that scale. From bespoke websites to software used by millions, I operate where business strategy meets high-fidelity craft.

Beyond the work, I am a hands-on collaborator dedicated to elevating my team’s fluency in motion and prototyping. I strive to marry the ambitious with the achievable, consistently pushing the boundaries of what is possible to reach business goals while transforming the user experience.

Experience Design

I believe product excellence is found in the details - often invisible, but deeply felt in the quality of the experience.
My process involves diving deep into opportunity spaces, distilling highly complex requirements into clean, understandable solutions. I balance high-fidelity visual design with technical reality, ensuring that emerging and established mental models are respected.
By marrying human intuition with technical constraints, I aim to create work that feels grounded, intuitive, and visionary.

Product Direction

Data and empathy are the compasses for my design process. I work closely with research partners to illuminate opportunities and guide product direction in complex, ambiguous spaces. This strategic foundation allows me to advocate for the user experience, ensuring that every decision is backed by evidence and understanding.

Concept development

Prototyping is my primary tool for thinking. I move quickly from static visuals to living artifacts, believing that the best way to validate an idea is to build it. Whether through code, high-fidelity comps, or 3D environments, I create prototypes that allow stakeholders and engineers to feel the experience before development begins. This practice proves especially essential when shaping AI surfaces, where interaction patterns are still emerging. By evolving designs through functional models rather than static specs, I can solve technical constraints alongside engineering. This shared reality anchors our decisions visually, preserving the nuance of the original vision.

Fluidity & Feel

While motion is often treated as an afterthought, I visualize how elements behave from the very first sketch. I utilize motion to guide user focus, provide feedback, and add delight to core user flows. Whether contributing to design system principles, defining easing libraries, or crafting bespoke micro-interactions, I use advanced prototyping tools to create fluid, natural interactions. I aim to push the boundaries of what’s possible on the platform, leveraging the latest advancements in web and rendering technologies.

Shared Vision

Bringing people together through shared understanding is central to my practice. I view design as a form of diplomacy, using storytelling to align diverse teams, from engineering to executive leadership, around a shared vision. Whether simplifying a complex technical challenge or presenting a future state to stakeholders, I ensure the narrative is clear, compelling, and human-centric.
